Saints is a sexy stylish, and smart cafe, late bar and lounge that would feel more at home in Nottingham's Lace Market as it's ever changing moods of light and day fade into the calm downtempo groove of the night.

Friday features bands and DJ's but don't make assumptions, Saints isn't about bangin' bass and drummers beating away at skins as one might a errant schoolboy – this is chilled out café groove, sensible volumes, bright colours and smiling faces as the band set stage and the audience merge for an impromptu party.

Supermojo drop a sound akin to a modern day Echobelly but minus the bite as their cool 60's harmonies and upbeat melody's show signs of an emerging Mansfield scene along with the Tastebuds . A few dirty oldschool synths and drum machines could create a hybrid which would cross over to dance music without leaving them disloyal to their acoustic roots.

 My Passion

Pretty boys playing dirty rock n roll. 16 year old girls with cameraphones aloft as they record memories of energy and love for this lustful contagious beast. Comparisons to My Chemical Romance are too easy, Scarlet Soho, Nemo and Mansun would be closer to the mark. Not content with making teenage girls fall in love with them and their music they offer the coolest range of T-Shirts and merchandise since Lawnmower Deth. My Passion's visit to Mansfield was part of their current world tour.

 Acoustic Evening
Bandwagon Studios have been around since the beginning, offering the best equipped recording studio in the area for a fraction of the true cost. Now based at The Old Library they strive to bring live music to the people and tonight is a once monthly acoustic show offering something a little different. The star is undoubtedly The Reverend Elvis Bartholomew Municipal choir. Sat akin to Van Morrison but with his neck clasped in a loose fitting fat black leather collar, he looks like he once flew over the cuckoos nest as he pushes out twisted acoustic rhythms from such classics as Elton's Rocket Man and the Pistols Anarchy.

Halfway House are a young beat combo who are looking at the stars and Phil Ashmore plays backing for the angelic Amy Christiana who plays it straight but with a tender passion and an enchanting vulnerability.
